The Apple Newton-based ARIF was a fundamental tool for the vistor to use in exploring the content universe in Petrosains. ARIF, an acronym for A Resourceful Informative Friend, also means "wise man" in Bahasa Maylasian. The device was location aware and was in use from 1998 to 2009, a long run for early mobile technology.
