The USS Monitor Center, Mariners' Museum, Newport News, Virginia
The iron turret is undergoing ten years of electrolytic restoration so replicas were built to
show visitors how it looked on recovery, and how it was built and functioned. Guerin planned the
arrangement of the artifacts in the gallery so tha they reflect in the windows, in overlayed register, to the model
outside, using the building's glass walls, like a gigantic mirror in a Pepper's Ghost effect.
